It is opera at its most inventive, with an original structure that dives into the world of <em>A Midsummer Night&#8217;s Dream <\/em>through a sequence of musical numbers (\u2018masques\u2019) delivered by a self-contained ensemble, but designed with the ability to slip between scenes of Shakespeare\u2019s original play, which contain his original beloved characters. Our production will embrace the whimsical and wit-filled elements of this opera, adding a touch of psychedelic aesthetics as well.
